Welcome to Women’s Cancer Prevention PNG (WCP PNG).

Breast and cervical cancer are two of the three most common cancers affecting women in Papua New Guinea. Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women, while cervical cancer ranks third in both incidence and mortality. Tragically, many women are diagnosed too late for effective treatment, despite these diseases being largely preventable and, when detected early, highly treatable.

At WCP PNG, we are working to change this. Through education, awareness, early detection, HPV vaccination, and improved access to screening and treatment, we are helping to prevent cancer and save the lives of women across Papua New Guinea.

Together, with the support of our partners and donors, we can ensure more women have access to the knowledge and healthcare they need to live healthy lives.
